Bio

A 24 year veteran in the Tabletop Games Industry, Elisa Teague has worked on over 100 published card and board games, written for various RPGs including Dungeons & Dragons, the Marvel Multiverse TTRPG, Welcome to Nightvale, The Crooked Moon, Gloomhaven, Imarian Nights, Wardlings, Kids on Bikes, and many more.

Elisa is the former Senior Producer of Roleplaying Games at Renegade Game Studios, where she wrote and produced roleplaying books for the Power Rangers, G.I. Joe, and Transformers RPGs as well as Vampire: the Masquerade and the World of Darkness line. Known for social intrigue, deep mystery plots, and puzzles in her writing, she wrote the chapter on how to use puzzles in your game for D&D’s Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, was lead designer of board games such as Geek Out!, Kingdom Hearts Talisman, Betrayal at House on the Hill: Widows Walk, and co-designer and art director of Apocrypha Adventure Card Game, and has designed puzzle events and ARGs for some of the largest companies and events in the world.

Course: Career Building

This course is designed for Dungeon Masters seeking to turn their passion for D&D into a successful and sustainable creative career. Students will learn from industry professionals how to design, refine, and publish original content, from adventures and campaign settings to supplemental materials, while developing the marketing and business knowledge needed to succeed in the gaming industry. Topics include self-publishing strategies, running games for hire, content monetization, and building an authentic online presence through streaming, podcasting, community engagement, and professional networking. Emphasis is also placed on collaboration with publishers and licensing partners, navigating contracts, and managing freelance logistics such as rates, invoicing, and intellectual property rights. Ideal for aspiring professional DMs, writers, and designers, this course provides a practical roadmap for transforming game mastery into creative entrepreneurship.
