D&D in a Castle: Inclusion, Safety, and a Supportive Gaming Environment

Back in the day, when D&D first started, it wasn’t something you told people you did, except for your fellow players.

How many of us feel like the sleeper hit cover song ‘Roll a D6’ is about our own lives?  And how many of us, like the girl at the beginning of the music video, were embarrassed to admit what our plans were on any given Saturday night? 

 

Although the landscape of D&D has changed incredibly in the last five to ten years, with streaming bringing it more into the popular domain, some things still remain the same.  One of the biggest strengths of the game is that it has always been a welcoming space for those who felt excluded, and now more than ever it continues to provide this safe, supportive space to seasoned and beginner players alike.

The game play at D&D in a Castle is no different; we’ve made inclusion, safety and supportive play one of our top priorities.  We’ve made sure that the talent we book reflects the huge diversity of D&D players today, and we know our players leave feeling welcomed and supported every time.
